What is Tribute Jar?
A page where your community can pay you. Run an always-on tip jar, a goal-based campaign with a story and a deadline, or both, and share one link: tributejar.com/your-handle.
Who can raise money here?
Creators, teachers, churches, event organisers, foundations, NGOs and anyone with a community that wants to support them. There's no follower minimum.
What's the difference between tips and campaigns?
Tips are always on, with no deadline, and you can name your tiers (for example "School Fees $2"). Campaigns have a goal, a story and a progress bar, which suits scholarships, appeals and events.
Why do I need to verify my ID?
Verification confirms who you are, prevents fraud and makes sure withdrawals reach the right person. Supporters see a verified badge on your page.
Giving
How do supporters pay?
With EcoCash, InnBucks, OneMoney, Omari, Smile Cash, Zimswitch, Visa or Mastercard. Supporters abroad can pay by card.
Do I need an account to give?
No. You can give as a guest, with your name or anonymously. An account lets you track your giving, collect thank-you cards and earn points with creators.
Is my payment secure?
Yes. Payments are processed by licensed payment providers, and we take reasonable measures to protect your personal data.
Getting paid
How do I withdraw?
Request a withdrawal from your dashboard. We review it and settle the funds through your chosen payout method.
How long do withdrawals take?
It depends on verification checks and the payout provider. Requests are processed as quickly as possible, and you can follow the status in your dashboard.
What happens if someone impersonates another person?
Impersonation or false identity information is prohibited and can lead to account suspension, withheld funds and legal action. Report it to us and we'll investigate.
