Creator Onboarding Agreement (Tribute Jar)
This Creator Onboarding Agreement (the “Agreement”) is entered into between Tribute Jar (the “Platform”) and the Creator (the individual registering to receive financial support through the Platform). By creating a creator profile on Tribute Jar, you agree to this Agreement.
Purpose of the Platform
Tribute Jar is a digital platform that enables creators to receive voluntary financial support, tips, and micro-contributions from their audience. The Platform provides creators with a personal page where supporters can send contributions through available local payment methods such as EcoCash, InnBucks, Visa, MasterCard, or other supported payment channels.
Platform Fees
Tribute Jar will charge a 3% platform service fee on the total funds collected by the Creator through the Platform. This fee covers platform infrastructure, payment integration, and operational support.
Disbursement and Withdrawal Costs
Creators may request withdrawals of funds collected through the Platform. All payment gateway fees, transaction charges, and disbursement costs associated with transferring funds to the Creator will be borne by the Creator and deducted during settlement where applicable. Withdrawal requests may be subject to verification and processing timelines.
Creator Responsibilities
By joining the Platform, the Creator agrees to:
- Provide accurate personal and identification information when required.
- Use the Platform lawfully and responsibly.
- Share authentic projects, content, or creative work.
- Not impersonate another person or organisation.
- Not use the Platform for fraudulent fundraising or misleading activities.
Tribute Jar reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Contributions from Supporters
All contributions made through Tribute Jar are voluntary support payments from supporters to creators. Supporters are not purchasing ownership, investment rights, or financial returns. Tribute Jar acts solely as the Platform facilitating these contributions.
Verification and Compliance
Tribute Jar may require identity verification or additional documentation before approving withdrawals in order to comply with payment and anti-fraud requirements. Failure to provide requested documentation may delay or suspend payouts.
Acceptance of Terms
By accepting this Agreement, the Creator confirms that they:
- Have read and understood this Agreement.
- Agree to the 3% platform fee structure.
- Acknowledge that disbursement and payment processing costs will be borne by the Creator.
- Agree to comply with the Platform rules and guidelines.
